International Centre for the Study of Occupational and Mental Health
Dr Kirkcaldy is Director of this Centre for some 20 years now.
Major goals of the Centre include:
The Institute does research in the field of work and health care primarily within diverse branches of medical and psycho-social services.
Many of the problems currently faced by the changing nature of work in Western societies require a multidisciplinary approach with psychologist, economists, sociologists, health professionals, etc. The results of the Institute’s studies will take into consideration the multicultural differences of this topic. These results will be conveyed in training programs, by publications and via consulting. The Institute considers itself an independent organisation, free of the customary bureaucratic constraints of traditional university and working in close liaison with practice(s).
